Pulse Sensor
The detector head is essentially a highly sensitive three-way, four-way rotary valve. When the net or blanket is deflected, the baffle swings and the detector head changes the direction of entry and exit of the air path. Compressed air is delivered to the corrugated pneumatic tyres of the actuator to drive the corrector. Different foreign manufacturers produce different forms of pneumatic actuators, but their basic construction is similar.
The automatic correction has a displacement of 60 to 70 mm, which can be used for paper machines with a width of less than 3200 mm.
Principle
When the pulse sensor baffle is in the middle position, the air pressure in the pneumatic tyres on both sides of the calibrator actuator is equal and the calibrator is in the middle position.
When the net or blanket is offset, the baffle plate deviates from the middle position and the pulse sensor converts the offset signal into a pressure signal to pressurise or depressurise the air in the pneumatic tyres on the left side of the actuator and the calibrator moves to the left or right to achieve automatic calibration.
The structural pulse sensor consists of a baffle plate, probe, bracket, connection tube etc.
