Characteristics of different types of forming fabrics

In use, different types of forming fabric have different characteristics

1. Single layer forming fabric: it is dehydrated quickly, the difference between the two sides of the paper is large, and the abrasion resistance is poor. It is less used at present.

Applicable paper machine: slow speed, low grade paper, such as kraft paper, corrugated paper, etc.

2. Two layer semi forming fabric: it’s dehydration is slower than that of single layer fabric, which can significantly improve the retention rate of fine fibers and fillers, with good paper quality, relatively wear resistance and long service life.

Applicable paper machine: at present, the domestic basic single long screen and stacked screen paper machine (speed less than 1000m / min) produces various grades of paper.

3. Three layer forming fabric: it is composed of the surface layer and the bottom layer. It connects the weft thread and plays the role of supporting the fiber at the same time. The warp and weft of the surface layer can have the same surface property, the dehydration is uniform, the retention rate is high, and the paper quality is good.

When the high-pressure cleaning conditions of the paper machine mesh are met, the mesh is cleaned and the service life is longer than that of the two-and-a-half-layer mesh.
