Trommel Screen
The trommel screen is a widely used machine in sorting technology, Drum screen consists of an an electric motor, a reducer, drum, belt driving device, catch wheel, drawing wheel, vat, inlet trough, spray pipe, etc. which controls garbage sorting by controlling the particle size and has high sorting accuracy. The cylinder of a trommel screen is generally divided into several sections, depending on the specific situation. The sieve holes are arranged from small to large, and the sieve hole diameter on each section is the same.
Design Features
When the screening drum rotates, the pulp is transported through a spiral to the drum. Under the action of gravity, small impurities pass through φ 8-14mm screen groove enters the groove. The larger impurities retained on the screen plate are pushed forward to the end through a spiral blade.
Wash off the fibers attached to impurities through the fan nozzle to prevent fiber loss caused by the discharge of impurities. Simple structure, safe and reliable operation, and high efficiency of coarse screening. When used in conjunction with a hydraulic pulp crusher system, coarse impurities can be screened out to improve process purification efficiency.

Working Principle
The drum device of a trommel screen is generally inclined to a certain extent. After material entering the drum device, the material flips and rolls on the screen surface, and moves towards the discharge port direction with the rotation of the drum. During the rolling process, small particles of material will be screened out through a grate or bar, usually some fine materials such as coal, slag, soil, natural sand, etc.
The drive of the axial drum screen follows the main shaft, while the non axial drum screen drives the coupling through the reducer to drive the driven gear on the drum, achieving the purpose of drum rotation.
