There are many reasons for the damage and shedding of wool nets. The most common one is that the surface of wool nets is torn loose by high-pressure water flow. Sometimes the responsibility is not to press the wool net of the fabric, because the fiber can also come from pulp or even dirt from the external system.


Reasons and solutions:

1. The needling tightness of paper-making felt is not enough, and the setting is too light, resulting in loose clamping between fibers.

Adopt a reasonable felt needling process, appropriately increase the needling depth and times, improve the needling tightness and shaping degree of paper-making felt, and adopt the methods of hot oil roller shaping, hot air shaping, hot oil roller plus far-infrared shaping or hot air heating oil roller shaping to improve the shaping quality of felt, so as to improve the anti-wear and anti depilation performance of felt itself.


2. There is no lubricating water between the panel of the vacuum suction tank and the felt, causing the temperature to rise, fiber damage and hair loss.

For paper machines, especially medium and high-speed paper machines, the rational use of lubricating water is not only good for improving the cleanliness of the felt, but also can produce a layer of water film between the vacuum panel and the felt, which plays the role of lubrication, sealing and cooling.


3. The material of the panel of the vacuum suction tank is not good, there are burrs on the edges and seams of the panel, the wrapping angle between the vacuum suction tank and the felt is too large, and the panel is partially uneven or the fixing screws are exposed, resulting in the wear and hair loss of the felt. Improper selection of seal materials at both ends between the seams of the vacuum panel, improper treatment of seals in the vacuum area and non vacuum area, and lack of lubricating water at the edges.

The seals at the two ends between the seams of the vacuum panel should be made of the same material as the panel or with a slightly lower wear resistance than the panel. The front end of the seal in contact with the vacuum area should be processed into a transition slope with an arc. If possible, sparse small round holes can be punched, from the vacuum area to the outside, from dense to sparse, and with an appropriate amount of lubricating water, which can solve the problem of wear and hair removal at the edge of the felt, It can also solve the problem of excessive water content at the edge of the felt.


4. There are burrs, rust marks on the surface of the carpet wheel, and the surface is wrapped with pulp. The rubber thread platform of the carpet web is too high, the thread platform has obvious edges and corners, there is no edge and corner between the rubber platform and the web at the splay opening, or the high-low transition zone is too short. All supporting felt spokes should be smooth and free of burrs and rust marks. It is recommended to use copper covered rods, stainless steel covered rods and rubber covered rods. The height of the spiral rubber strip of the carpet spreading wheel is generally 8~15mm, the width of the rubber table is 20 ~ 40mm, the rubber table has no edges and corners, the chamfer should be smooth, the angle of the splay opening is generally 600 ~ 1200, and the starting point of the splay opening should have an obvious transition slope.


5. There is a speed difference between the relevant transmission points, which leads to the rubbing and wear of the felt. Adjust the speed ratio of each transmission point correctly to avoid abnormal speed difference.


6. Insufficient cleaning degree of the slurry, high residual chlorine, and the use of chemicals with high acid-base concentration to wash the felt lead to premature corrosion and aging of the felt, which will reduce the wear resistance of the felt and cause hair loss.
