Trommel Screen is usually device in pulp or magazine after centrifuges, it can screen out all kinds of light or heavy impurities whose geometric shape are greater than φ10mm such as plastics, rubber, sand, stone, metal pieces, film, etc.
Design Features
Drum screen consists of drum, belt driving device, catch wheel, drawing wheel, vat, inlet trough, spray pipe, etc. While the screening drum rotates, pulp is conveying forward to the drum cylinder by screw flight. By gravity, accepts and fine impurities passing though φ8-14mm screening slots enter the vat. The larger impurities retained on screen plate is pushed forward to the end by screw flight.
The fiber adhered to the impurities is washed off by fan nozzles in order to prevent fiber loss with impurities discharging.Simple structure, safe and reliable in operation and high efficiency in coarse screening.Used with hydrapulper system to screen out coarse impurities and improve the purifying efficiency of process.
