The press felt is composed of base layer and batt fiber layer. The base layer is equivalent to the bone frame of the press felt, it decide the limit of felt weight, air permeablity , moisture content and stability. The base layer is woven into mesh structure using nylon material compose of monofilament, carding fiber, multifilament, etc. Accordint to different base layer, the press felt can be devidied into single layer felt, double layer felt, triple layer felt and laminated layer felt.
The single layer press felt is combined with single base layer and batt fiber layer. The base layer is woven from warp and weft thread composed of nylon monofilament or monofilament composite. The organizational structure is designed according to different paper machines, different use position, and different paper kind. The fiber batt layer is laid in layers of different thickness of synthetic fibers.
