During normal operation, the standard line of the press felt should be parallel to the pressure line. If the tension on the entire cross direction of the press felt is uneven or the pressure on the pressure line is uneven, it is common for the standard line of the felt to protrude or be concave in the middle or tilt along the entire line, causing the holes of the felt to change from square to diamond shape, reducing the small dehydration area and affecting the dehydration ability. This often causes paper diseases such as wet paper embossing, shortening the service life of the felt. Therefore, attention should be paid to controlling the normal operation of the standard line of the felt.
May lead to:
1) The reduction of dehydration area affects dehydration efficiency;
2) Uneven moisture content in wet paper leads to embossing defects;
3) Excessive local stress on the felt can shorten its service life.
1. Check and adjust the tension on both sides of the felt: Ensure that the tension on the operating side is consistent with that on the transmission side, to avoid deviation of the standard line due to one side being too tight or too loose.
2. Calibrate the parallelism between the guide roll and the press roll: Use laser alignment or a dial gauge to check whether each roll is parallel, especially with the dryer cylinder surface as the reference for alignment.
3. Enable or calibrate the automatic correction device:
1) Ensure that the distance between the contact and the edge of the felt is about 1 cm, without touching the edge.
2) Check whether the airbag, nozzle, lever and other components are sensitive and effective.
3) After running for a period of time, the contact position of the newly installed felt needs to be readjusted.
4. Sectional bending treatment (use with caution): For sectional standard line bending, you can try adjusting the paper on the felt roll, but pay attention to the uniformity and moderate thickness of the paper, otherwise it may cause folding.
5. Check the condition of the felt itself: If the press felt has strip wear, uneven needle punching, or uneven tension in the bottom mesh, replacement or repair should be considered.
