The pressure screen basket consists of a sieve plate, an overflow hopper, and a non perforated plate. There are many small holes distributed on the sieve plate. Steam passes through small holes from bottom to top, undergoes heat and mass transfer through the liquid layer on the tray, and then rises. The liquid flows through the tray along a certain route, supported by steam with stable flow rate, and flows through the overflow hopper to the next tray's non perforated plate (receiving tray). The thickness of the liquid layer is determined by the height of the inlet and outlet baffles on the tray.
Inflow type screen basket: The pulp flows from the inside of the screen basket to the outside, the drum is fixed, and the rotor rotates inside the drum.
Outflow type screen basket: The pulp flows from the outside to the inside of the screen basket, with the drum fixed and the rotor rotating outside the drum.
1. Handle with care during installation to avoid damage to the screen basket from external forces;
2. After installing the screen basket inside the pressure screen, adjust the gap between the screen basket and the rotating screen appropriately, adjust it to the process requirements, and fix it firmly with fixing bolts. During this process, it is necessary to check whether there are any leakage points at the connection between the sieve cylinder and the pressure sieve body.
3. When using the screen basket, the appropriate pressure is 0.15-0.30MPa. If the pressure is too low, it will affect the performance of output; If it is too high, it will cause damage to the screen basket. The pulp pressure of inlet and outlet should be maintain a appropriate pressure.
4.Generallythe amount of tailings is 5-15%. It can be adjusted according to the type of pulp, but the tailings should be discharged smoothly during use;
5.Before entering the pressure screen, the mud must be cleaned of heavy impurities such as sand, stone, iron, etc. This may damage the sieve drum. Bar screens are best used as fine screens, while coarse screens are used to remove larger light impurities before entering the pressure screen, which will increase efficiency.
6. After each use of the screen basket, need clean the screen basket with clean water to facilitate the next use;
7. If the output is not meet the requirements, check the gap and slot of the screen basket, and replace it if it does not meet the requirements.
