What is doctor blade?
The paper machine doctor blade system is mainly including doctor blade holder, doctor blade, and rubber air tube. It has three function cleaning, creping and coating. The doctor blade is comsumpable equipment for paper machine, normally have carbon fiber material, epoxy resin material, HDPE material, cotton fiber material, bronze and steel material. Sun Hong will according to your use position and machine speed to suggest suitable doctor blade for you.
What is The Function of Doctor Blade in Paper Machine?
The doctor blade apply on paper machine mainly have three function: cleaning blade, coating blade and creping blade.
Cleaning Doctor Blade is a commonly used cleaning tool in paper machine equipment. Its main function is to remove impurities from the surface of the paper, prevent further damage to the paper by impurities, and ensure the quality of the paper. The use of paper machine cleaning doctor blade can help remove impurities from waste paper equipment, avoid wrinkles, cutting and other adverse phenomena, and improve production efficiency and paper quality.
Coating Blade are with a specific curvature on the blade edge, is mainly used in the coating process of materials such as paper, cloth, aluminum foil, etc., to evenly apply functional coatings such as glue, paint or ink, which directly affects the uniformity and quality of the coating. Its matrix materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and polymer composite materials, with specifications ranging from 0.152 × 30-60mm. The blade error is controlled within the range of ± 5-50 μ m, making it suitable for gravure printing, packaging, and papermaking industries.
Creping Doctor Blade: paper creping is an important process in the production of household paper(tissue paper, toilet paper, kitchen paper, etc). Its function is to peel off the toilet paper attached to the surface of the dryer and use a certain speed difference between the paper roll cylinder and the Yankee dryer cylinder to complete wrinkling. The quality of creping blade material directly affects the physical and appearance properties such as the thickness, fullness, and tensile strength of toilet paper wrinkles. Creping blades, as consumables in the production of household paper, are made of materials such as steel blades, alloy blades, and ceramic blades prepared by thermal spraying technology.
