Coating Metering Rods Beds
The paper metering rods beds is a component used to fix and support the measuring rod, installed on the coating machine. Its main function is to ensure that the measuring rod remains stable during operation and correct its straightness, thereby ensuring the uniformity and accuracy of coating on the substrate.
Mainly used in the coating process of paper machines, involving paper surface coating processes (such as coatings, adhesives, etc.), suitable for different structures of rod holders such as C-type, U-shaped, V-shaped, etc., can be customized and adapted to specific production lines as needed.
The metering rods beds supports the measuring rod (such as scraper, glue applicator, etc.) to ensure that the measuring rod is in full contact with the substrate during high-speed operation, and reduces friction and vibration by correcting the straightness, ensuring the uniformity of coating thickness. Some models adopt a split design (such as a mother and child rod seat) to facilitate the replacement of worn parts and reduce costs.
The common material is UHMW-PE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene), which has high wear resistance (life can reach 3-5 times that of ordinary materials), strong self-lubricating properties, and soft texture, reducing the risk of measuring rod jamming and facilitating cleaning and maintenance.
