The vacuum suction roller is one of the most expensive rollers in paper machines, and a sealing device must be used between the vacuum box and the inner wall of the roll for good sealing. It mainly consists of sealing grooves, sealing strips, elastic device, and other components.
There is one pneumatic tire at the bottom and one on the side of the sealing strip. The pneumatic tire at the bottom of the sealing strip can be called a "pressurized pneumatic tire", and the pneumatic tire on the side of the sealing strip is called a "locked pneumatic tire". When in use, the "pressurized pneumatic tire" is first inflated to make the sealing strip contact the inner wall of the roller, then the "locked pneumatic tire" is inflated and the "pressurized pneumatic tire" is depressurized. Through a special design structure, the sealing strip is slightly lowered and positioned, creating a small gap between the sealing strip and the inner wall of the roller, ensuring the vacuum degree of the vacuum box while avoiding wear of the sealing strip. Due to the presence of vibration, after a period of use, the sealing strip may fall, causing the gap between the sealing strip and the cylinder to increase, which affects the vacuum degree of the vacuum box and decreases. At this point, through an automatic detection and control system, the "pressurized pneumatic tire" and "locked pneumatic tire" are activated again, restoring the gap between the sealing strip and the inner wall of the cylinder to the set state. Repeat this process to ensure the sealing of the sealing strip.
