Suction Press Roll
The suction press roll is mainly composed of four core parts: roll shell, vacuum chamber, sealing device, and support structure. The design of each part directly affects dehydration, efficiency, and operational stability. The roll shell is mainly cast from bronze or stainless steel, which can ensure corrosion resistance and meet the requirements of mechanical strength.
The suction press roll surface needs to be coated with rubber and its opening rate is low. The thickness of the rubber layer is generally greater than 20mm. Compared with other pressing methods, vacuum pressing can remove more moisture from the paper, dehydrate evenly, and reduce the crushing of the paper spokes. It's often applied on middle and high speed paper machine.
Groove Press Roll
The structure of groove press is that the top roll is stone roll, the bottom roll is rubber coated roll. The surface of rubber roll is cutted spiral groove shapes (width is between 0.5~0.6mm, depth is 1.0mm-3.5mm, space is 3.0mm~3.6mm). Compared with ordinary pressing, groove pressing is easier to dehydrate, with lower line pressure and increased adhesive layer thickness during pressing. Therefore, the middle height of the roller can be reduced to avoid the formation of wrinkles due to high and uneven moisture on both sides of the paper. The cost of groove press roll is lower than suction press roll, it's good choice for limited budget paper mill.
Blind Hole Press Roll
Blind hole press roll are coated with rubber or polyurethane on the roll shell. The blind hole pressure roller adopts a 2mm aperture blind hole structure, with an opening rate of 25% -30%, and the adhesive layer hardness covers the range of 70-90 Shore hardness.Compare with groove press roll, blind hole press roll have softer coated rubber so that it can reduce the damage of press felt and provide wider press zone to increase the line pressure.
