Vacuum Suction Couch Roll

The suction couch roll is the core equipment of paper machine wet end section to dewatering water from paper web.It can make the dryness of paper web from 12%-18% up to 20%-27%. It's mainly combined with roll shell, vacuum chamber, support seat, and spray pipe. The vacuum chamber of vacuum suction roll usually have single chamber, double chamber and thriple chamber.

Function of Suction Couch Roll

The suction couch roll on the paper machine is mainly dehydrated by vacuum suction force. Its advantages include easy operation, high dehydration rate, minimal wear of forming fabric, and convenient pick up paper.

1. Complete the final dehydration and shaping of the paper web to stabilize the fiber arrangement;

2. The separation of wet paper sheets from forming fabric is achieved through mechanical action;

3. Transition the paper web to the press section to form a continuous production process loop.

Structure of Suction Couch Roll

1. Roll body: usually made of stainless steel material, the specific specifications are adjusted according to the working conditions. ‌

2. Vacuum chamber: Fixed and forming a vacuum chamber with a rotating roller shell, removing moisture from wet paper sheets through suction force. ‌

3. Support seat: Supported by three major bearings to ensure stable rotation of the roll body. ‌

4. Spray pipe: used for cooling or cleaning the roll surface to prevent overheating or accumulation of impurities. ‌

5. Sealing structure: prevents cooling water from seeping into the interior while ensuring the sealing of the vacuum system.
