The wire drive roll is located behind couch roll. It provide the transmit motivition for driving forming fabric.
Wire Drive Roll: Wire drive roll is located at the end of the paper machine forming section, it is mainly responsible for driving the forming fabric and providing transmission power. Its surface is usually coated with high wear-resistant rubber material (hardness 10-15 P&J) to reduce fabric sliding and extend its service life. The friction coefficient of the wire drive roll is high, which can reduce the relative motion between the press felt and the forming fabric, ensuring stable operation.
Wire Guide Roll: Wire guide roll is located at the front end of the forming fabric, its main function is to guide the uniform distribution of the pulp and support the forming fabric. This type of roll usually has a smooth surface, and the attached pulp is removed by doctor blade device to ensure that thepulp is evenly transported to subsequent processes. The wear resistance requirement of the guide roll is relatively low, but it needs to maintain high precision to maintain the stability of the forming fabric.
The two work together in a paper machine: the wire drive roll provides power to drive the circulation of the forming fabric, while the guide roll is responsible for the uniform transportation of the pulp and the stable support of the forming fabric.
