Paper Interlayer Bonding Tester
The interlayer bonding strength tester is designed to measure the bonding strength within paper and cardboard materials.
It is suitable for testing both single-layer and multi-layer paper and cardboard, including coated paper and paper and cardboard that have a synthetic polymer film on their surface. This device is commonly used by paper mills and cardboard mills to evaluate the internal bonding strength of paper products.
It is not recommended for use with low basis weight, porous, soft, or low-density paper and cardboard.
The interlayer bonding strength refers to the ability of paper and cardboard to resist separation between layers, which indicates their internal bonding capability. Controlling the internal bonding strength is crucial for the production of multi-layer paper and cardboard.
If the internal bonding value is low or inconsistent, it can lead to issues when paper and cardboard are used in offset printing machines with viscous ink.
On the other hand, if the bonding strength is too high, it can complicate the processing steps and increase production costs. This test is commonly used in the printing and packaging industry for various types of multi-layer cardboard, such as corrugated cardboard, white cardboard, and grey cardboard.
